After spending several weeks reading through the manuscript, I returned it to Shawn Reilly Simmons at Level Best Books for her to complete the Red Line Copy Edits. Hopefully one bottle of red ink will be enough.

I've just received the developmental edit back from Shawn Reilly Simmons at Level Best Books, and I'm glad to say that she is very happy with the manuscript. Once I've had time to read her comments and suggestions, I'll get to work on the revisions. Once I'm happy that I've done everything I can, I'll send the manuscript back to Shawn for her to complete her Red Line Copy Edits.

The publishing rights for Secret of Heathcote Manor were acquired by Level Best Books in June 2022 with a proposed release date of 19th December 2023. In accordance with the novel production schedule, I sent the completed manuscript to my primary editor on 21st June 2023 for her to complete a developmental edit. The edited manuscript hasn't been returned to me yet, but I'm hoping it will appear in my inbox shortly.
